Ms. Sierra Gruden
Hello! My name is Sierra Gruden and I teach Biology and Sports Medicine at Middleton High School. I graduated from Idaho State University in 2013, where I obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics. Shortly after I graduated I began working in Clinical Nutrition for 3 years at a Boise hospital. In 2016, I began pursuing a Masters of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation from Northwest Nazarene University.
My classroom will be fun but yet challenging for students. My philosophy on education emphasizes that every student is able to and should be given the chance to learn. I will provide an environment that serves to inspire and challenges my students with the necessary tools to excel in their education. In addition, my classroom environment will be an environment where students can feel safe, engaged, supported, as well as respected. My goal is to implement literacy and innovation instruction in both biological sciences and health classes, so students can gain fluency in each subject. Knowing how to read, write, listen, speak, and use technology will not only make for more intelligent individuals but will aid in student’s comprehension and understanding of content knowledge- thus result in student learning. :)
I thoroughly believe that each student can succeed and I will ultimately do everything to the best of my ability to help students achieve necessary learning.
I am thrilled to be teaching and honored to be among the Middleton School District faculty!
