Hi!
My name is Katie Ward & I am so thrilled to be your child’s teacher!!
I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Utah State
University in 2005. From a young age, I always knew that I wanted to
be a teacher! I have taught one year of 4th grade, five years of
preschool & this will be my second year teaching 3rd grade! I also
worked as a paraprofessional/EA for two years at PSE! I enjoy
interacting with all of the staff, students & parents at Purple Sage—I
love my Purple People!!

I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement & making learning FUN!!
I want each of my students to feel special & I love celebrating their
successes—no matter how big or small!

My husband & I have been married for 14 years & we have a daughter
& a son! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy camping, fishing, razor riding,
working on bright, colorful puzzles & spending time in my garden with my
family!

I am looking forward to learning with your child & having a great year!
