Mr. Bill Lavin

Mr. Lavin is super excited to be returning to Purple Sage Elementary where he previously taught 4th grade from 2005-2007. This upcoming  school year will mark his 32nd year as an educator. Mr. Lavin’s career began in 1990 at St. Mary’s School in Boise. He has also taught in the West Ada School District (4th and 5th), Middleton School District (4th and 6th), and North Star Charter School (5th). He has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Boise State University and an M.A. in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho. Mr. Lavin lives in Eagle, Idaho with his wife Lisa. His daughter’s name is Kaylee (23) and his son’s name is Ian (21). During his free time, Mr. Lavin enjoys hiking, fishing, running, and hunting. He is also a licensed fishing guide in Idaho and Oregon. In the summertime he can be found chasing walleyes on the Columbia River, and during weekends in the winter he keeps busy by taking groups out ice fishing on Lake Cascade. Mr. Lavin is thrilled to be a part of the Purple Sage faculty again and teaching his favorite grade level.
