Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Lisa Tuohy
Hello, my name is Ms. Lisa Tuohy. This is my second year at Millcreek Elementary and my first year as a Special Education Teacher. I have spent twenty-five years in education and social work fields. I have worked as a substitute teacher, behavior interventionist, case manager, and counselor. I am the youngest of eleven children: I was born near Chicago and moved to Western Washington as a teenager. I spent thirty years in Washington and earned my degree from the University of Washington-GO DAWGS! I have three adult sons and three grandchildren. I enjoy skiing, camping, hiking, weight lifting, and baking (I worked as a cake decorator for a few years and now use those skills to create cakes for family and friends). I am excited to work with the students in the resource room and to partner with parents as we navigate the special education services and programs available to support their child's needs.
