Superintendent Marc Gee
Marc Gee started as Superintendent in Middleton on July 1, 2021. He was the unanimous choice of the Board of Trustees.
Gee began work in the education field as a teacher in the Sugar-Salem School District. That work, coupled with his additional educational training and experience, provides the foundation Gee depends on to lead the Middleton School District.
“Building relationships is of the utmost importance in any leadership position and these service roles have afforded me the opportunity to continually hone these skills and find opportunities, both for Idaho education in general and my local district,” Gee said.
Gee served as superintendent at Preston School District from 2015 to 2021, and has served as an online principal of Idaho Digital Learning Alliance since June 2011. He was Garden Valley School District superintendent for one year and he held positions in the Sugar-Salem School District, starting in 2003, as a principal, federal programs director, math and science teacher, and basketball coach during an eight-year period.
Gee completed his doctorate in educational administration (2021) at Northwest Nazarene University, where he also earned his education specialist’s degree (2015). He earned his master’s in educational administration from Idaho State University (2008) and his bachelor’s in science education from Utah State University (2003).
Gee has also served as president and vice president of the state superintendent and administrator associations as well as serving on the state superintendent’s cabinet.
