Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jessica Holman
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!
My name is Jessica (Jessie) Holman and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the principal of Mill Creek Elementary. I was born and raised on a farm in Walla Walla, Washington. I attended William Penn University and obtained my Bachelor's of Arts, majoring in Elementary Education with minors in Reading Literacy, Special Education, and Psychology. With my degree hot in hand, I immersed myself in teaching and made every effort to learn as many areas of education as possible. I have taught high school Special Education, Title 1 Reading, Title 1 Math, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. I decided to take the next step to enhance my knowledge and experience by earning my Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. I have a strong love for teaching and learning and look forward to continuing to ensure that all students are learning every day!
As an educator, I strive to engage all students and for them to be excited about learning, thereby creating lifelong learners who enjoy a challenge and believe in themselves. I believe that every child can and will learn. An education should empower a child and help them make a positive contribution to our world. That being said, I also firmly believe that the school-home relationship is vital for students to succeed in education and ultimately in life. I look forward to building those relationships with all families.
Personally, I have been married for 15 years to my wonderful husband/best friend and we enjoy catching the occasional date night. We have four awesome kids, two boys and two girls, who are heavily involved in community sports, 4-H, and more. We have lived in the Middleton area for 9 years. In my off time, I love spending time with my family, camping, boating, wakeboarding, riding four wheelers, and watching or coaching my kids in multiple sports and activities.
I am excited to lead such an amazing group of students, teachers, and staff! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if I can answer any questions, address any concerns or offer any guidance as we kick off the school year.
